reduction in homicides and achieved a 100% clearance rate in 2024.
While even a single homicide is one too many, the Gwinnett County Police Department
reported a decrease in cases, with 32 homicides in 2024 compared to 40 in 2023. Investigators
credit the reduction and clearance rates to strong community support and strategic investments in
