At the first “Kia Day” Governor Brian Kemp and Kia officials celebrated the company’s proud partnership with the State of Georgia. Highlighting the more than 3,000 Georgians employed by Kia Georgia and the 14,000 indirect jobs supported by the company’s West Point facility, Governor Kemp also recognized the company’s role in helping Georgia achieve its goal of becoming the e-mobility capital of the U.S.
Reflecting on the company’s success, Kia Georgia CEO Stuart Countess noted that the Port of Brunswick provides the company a gateway to the world, while Kia America President & CEO Sean Yoon stated, “There is no question that Georgia is the key to this success story. Let there be no doubt that Georgia will be the strongest pillar in our exciting and successful story, and we will do it together again.”
